The Happiness Advantage – 21 Day Challenge – Day 4

Hello everyone! Below is my Day 4 blog for The 21 Day Happiness Challenge.

3 New Things I Am Grateful For

1. I am grateful for the feeling that is known as a “runners high”. For me there is nothing like a good run after a long day or a good way to start my day with a morning run. The release of one persons endorphins triggers a positive feeling in their body, this positive feeling I feel after my runs is what gets to me to keep running everyday.

2. I am grateful for my job . I am grateful that I have a job that I enjoy and that our company allows us to work remote. By working remote today and keeping EJ home, we were able to save on YMCA all day cost.

3. I am grateful for sweatpants. Whoever came up with the idea of baggy….warm… soft pants is the best! Lovin me some sweatpants action ALL day today! Thank you!

1 Positive Experience in the Past 24 Hours

Today EJ had off from school, so I worked remote. He friend spent the day over playing with him while I worked. It is so funny  listen to the things kids talk about things or how they use their imagination while playing. Makes me want to go back to being a kid. The simple things in life.

Exercise

Morning: One hour on the treadmill

Afternoon: 3.5 mile run

Meditate

I can finally say I attempted this again…… must research more on this. How can a person turn their thoughts off?! Goodness it is hard. Baby steps in this area I think are going to be key for me.

Random Act of Kindness

One of my husbands chores around the house to fold clean socks…. I truly do not enjoy doing this task. Today was laundry day and out of the kindness of my heart I folded the socks for him. yay me!
