The Happiness Advantage – 21 Day Challenge – Day 1

Hello everyone! Below is my Day 1 blog for The 21 Day Happiness Challenge.

3 New Things I Am Grateful For


1. I am grateful for my husband. He completes me every way possible and I cherish every moment we share together.

2. I am grateful for my son. He is the single greatest thing that has happened to me and I love watching him grow daily.

3. I am grateful for a hot cup of coffee. After having a late date with my Hunny, my cup of coffee was the only reason why I was able to get through my early morning workout on 4.5 hours of sleep.

Positive Experience in the Past 24 Hours

Last night my husband and I spent the evening listening to Cas Haley perform at the Dakota in Minneapolis. My husband and I first heard him on America’s Got Talent in 2007. Cas is an amazing singer and one we will keep following for years to come.

Exercise

Morning: Hour on the treadmill.

Evening:  6 mile run to the gym followed by 15 minutes of abs and 15 minutes of foam roller.

Meditate

Attempted meditation for the first time with my husband tonight for 10 minutes. Not easy!! This is an area we are going to study more on.

Random Act of Kindness

While waiting for Cas Haley to come on stage, a young kid came up and sat on the floor next to my legs. After seeing how dirty the ground was, I pulled a chair out and told the kid that there was no need to sit on the floor and to sit in the chair next to me. After a short conversation with the kid, he told me he was Cas Haley’s son!
